This course is intended to support students enrolled on the FBB-Intermediate course but may be of interest to others.

FOA-MB is NOT essential or required for the Foundation course.

This course delivers in a very approachable way the key principles of mathematics necessary to understand the operation of levers, pulleys and other machines and to understand how to identify the direction of forces applied to the horse and their magnitude. We start by defining coordinate systems before introducing the type of number known as a vector necessary to describe forces and their distribution. Some  basics of algebraic manipulation are also covered as well as the necessary geometry and trigonometry to calculate force distributions through the bridle. This course is free and open to all during the semester periods.
